Hedsor Landslip

in 2014, a water main running behind the Stable Block apartments, at Hedsor House near Taplow, fractured.

The volume of water, created a landslip below the house, displacing around 700 cubic metres of hillside, onto the tennis court of a neighbouring property.

Fortunately the Stable Block had been previously stabilised, with concrete piles, due to settlement issues in 2009.

Working together with Peter Brett Associates, an engineering solution to reinstate the hillside was developed.

in 2016 High Peak Geotechnical ltd began work, clearing the slip, installing gabions, anchored with stainless steel duckbill anchors, an improved drainage system, a Geobag retaining wall supplied by Greenfix Ltd and a new access track and fencing.
